I recently bought a new laptop and some one told me that I should always update my drivers.
I went on Nvidia website and installed a new driver for my GPU, it did everything automatically.
I also have in my pc a
Killer N1525 Wireless-AC adapter that comes with a "wifi manager" feature that shows the wifis strengths around me. But its not working properly, its laggy. The place I bought the pc told me to intall the latest driver an that would solve my problems. The thing is that when i installed it it only downloaded a compressed file. What should I do with it??
Extract it to some especific place in program files or just leave it anywhere and try to run the .exe file?

Thank you for the help guys!

If you extract it-it usually creates a folder in the directory for the installation package and either it will auto run or you click to get into the folder and run the .exe file to install the drivers.

when it downloads to the directory folder just drag it to your desktop and close the folder.
run the exe and load the program/software and then just delete the folder you dragged to your desktop.
    job done :)

and whoever told you to update our drivers is wrong! updating them won't make your PC any faster with the exception of the video card drivers. that's the only one you need to be worried about updating.

Now you might need to update them only and only if you have a problem with a current driver such as the Qualcomm Killer drivers that you mentioned. But don't go blindly updating drivers unless you are looking for more headaches or BSODs. Leave the other drivers alone.
