I run my laptop with an external monitor and I like to be able to have a video playing on the monitor while I use the laptop's screen for internet browsing and the like, but I can't figure out how to keep the video in the other window maximized to full screen... Every time I click or type anything on the laptop's screen, the video that was maximized on the other monitor goes back to the smaller size, whether it be WMP or an embedded video in my browser like youtube or whatever. I have vista home premium, any way to get it to ignore my clicking on the other screen and keep everything nice and big?

Well, i know by using a player like MPC, you can avoid that. For online players like youtube, i am yet to find a way myself but i doubt it's possible since its probably all about how the player is coded.

Are you in span mode or extended mode? in extended each monitor should act independently so if you maximize a video on one monitor it wont go away if you work on another monitor.

If that does not work you can just manually drag the windowed version of the player to fill the screen.
