I want to organize the shortcuts in the All Programs menu but I can't find the darn folder where they reside like I did when using XP. Please advise.

    Thanks!

Yes, they moved. However, it is still just like XP in that you can right-click, go to Properties, and see where the shortcut points to from the General tab.

Thanks, but that's really not what I was asking about. Apologies for not being clearer.

In XP, there is a folder in the Documents & Settings> User folder where you can organize the folders and shortcuts that appear when you look at the Programs menu from the Start Menu. Instead of having a long Programs list, I would make folders and organize things by category: eg. Utilities folder, Graphics folder, Hardware folder, etc.

It is much more efficient trying to find a program than scrolling through an endless list.

    Thanks again!

    Does Vista have an equivalent?

Right click it and select "Explore All Users."

Some things don't show up in that view. If that's the case, just right click them on the start menu and cut and paste them into the appropriate folder.
