    You don't if it was deleted that is possible but corrupted there is no way to recover unless you had a original file to compared it to and there isn't any software that I recall that can recover corrupted file as that file data is so messed up even the Recovery software will have no point of reference to recover from?

    I'm gonna go ahead and lock this thread. In case the OP wasn't a spammer, chances that this was a setup for tag team spam are high, the topic has been answered, spammy posts deleted etc.

    @StormJumper, MS Office can recover some slightly corrupted files IIRC, but most of the time when a file is corrupted, it's as good as lost, I agree.

    alex has the right approach: backups and more backups.
