Hi all, I have a notebook Clevo PC50DF1, with Windows 10 Professional installed.
I noticed that when the pc is connected to power supply, if I play a game, the pc runs very hot because it's always setted on High performance. Nothing changes even if in Windows I select the option "Power Saving". If i use the notebook with battery instead, the pc runs better and cooler, and i equally obtain 60 fps. Is there a way to reduce the perfomance of the notebook while connected to power supply, without having it running in High Performance mode all the time.
Thanks very much

saturnotaku Notebook Nobel Laureate
Limit/disable turbo boost and/or undervolt the CPU using ThrottleStop; undervolt the GPU using MSI Afterburner.

I've already setted Throttlestop by reducing the turbo limits to 2.9 and the offset voltage to -42mV, for the GPU i really can't understand how to undervolt it with Afterburner

Good question. w10 ltsc here, sometimes need a quick way to toggle things back and forth, have some plan for special use etc.
Have tried some reg entries etc to restore the win original power controls (see attach, w8.1), to no avail. Anyone knows of some working solution?
Was immensely practical, of course ms had to destroy it by removing 95% of useability, while replacements gives no real control.Attached Files:

Finally, made this power plan tip work > https://surfacetip.com/how-to-unlock-power-plans-on-surface-devices/
So far seems without problems. On my Dell, in 'Balanced' the w10 best batt.\best perf. slider is active, using another plan slider goes away.
Attached, example of lowering some max temp.Attached Files:
