I DLed uTorrent on my desktop and laptop. On my desktop, I didn't touch any speed setting, no tweaks or anything and it's really fast. My laptop however, I messed with it and its slow like hell. Is there a way to revert it back to default settings. Or would uninstalling and reinstalling it back be the only way...if that even works. lol.

I'm kind of confused by your post. If you didn't do anything to utorrent, shouldn't it already be set to the default settings? Anyway, I think uninstalling and then reinstalling will give you the default settings. I'd fix your laptop since that's what caused the slowdown in the first place.

That's what I said. My desktop I left everything default, and the DL speed is amazing. However, on my laptop, I was messing with the speed guide, and it's super slow compared to my desktop uTorrent. I'm trying to get my laptop uTorrent settings to default.

Try to uninstall with RevoUninstaller?

Ugh. I swear. This is like my dyslexic day or something. I read it as you hadn't changed utorrent's settings. Anyway, was utorrent fast on your laptop in the beginning or was it always slow? Have you tried turning off your firewall to see if that has anything to do with the slow settings? Are there any security related differences between your desktop and laptop?

I don't have a problem uninstalling it. I just wanted to see if there was another way or if anyone knew the default settings.
I was contemplating if uninstalling would even work because a few days ago, I had a problem with an application with the settings and stuff I accidentally set it to. So I uninstalled it, and reinstalled and it was still the same. I even used Revo and deleted all the registry and whatnot, re-dled it and still same problem. -
Found it on utorrent's FAQ:
How can I reset the settings back to the defaults?
Delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old from %AppData%\uTorrent with the client closed. -
Well, right when I DL'ed it to my laptop, I was messing with the Speed Guide, so I don't know. I'm sure that if I let it default, it would be fast. And no, there's no security differences. Both have windows liveonecare as AV and using build in windows firewall.

Oh nice. Thanks. Where is that?
I just checked program files>utorrent not in there. -
Copy %AppData%\uTorrent and paste it into Run from the start button menu.

Nice. Thanks +Rep.
