I would like to run two video files concurrently using the VLC player. I can only run one at a time now. Is there a setting to change this?

I dont think you can run multiple instances of VLC.

If you can't just get Media Player Classic ( http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358). MPC is a stand alone exe so nothing to install. Just double click the icon. And if you need codecs, get CCCP ( http://cccp-project.net/). Plays everything under the sun. -

Click on Settings->Preferences->Advanced-> Make sure that "One instance when started from File" is not checked. -
