So let's say a laptop came with Windows 10 Home from the factory....
Example, my recent MSI GT73VR Titan Pro
When trying to install Windows, we will notice that it doesn't even prompt us for a key but directly installs the Home Edition as it picks up the key from the UEFI BIOS and installs whatever edition that key is.....
Well on a clean install, what if we want to save the hassle of doing the upgrade from Home to Pro in Windows and want to install Windows 10 Pro from the get go? Here's howwhy to get a prompt on which edition you want to install. You will not be prompted to enter any key with this method but can later on manually enter the key when in Windows in PC Settings > Updates & Security > Activation > Change Product Key
If the machine was previously activated with this same key, then all you need to do is to get online and it will be auto activated within a few minutes using the hardware based activation.

1) Download the file called: ei.cfg
2) Copy that file and place it in the sources folder on your Windows 10 Flash Disk

That's it, now when booting off the Windows 10 USB Flash Disk, you will always get a choice of which edition to install and not even need to type the product key at this stage.
