    Hi!

If there is one thing I wish MS would take off of Vista, it is the retarded permissions thing. I have disabled UAC, I have taken control of my drives, and taken control of the registry as well, but still, whenever I install anything, it gives me APPCRASH or an error saying permissions needed.

I created this installation, I am the administrator, and have done everything, if still I am unable to take control, WTF do I have to do?

And to think of, I can't even install Windows Installer!

Does anyone have an idea how do I bypass it? I do not want to install Vista from scratch once a week till SP1 hits the market.

sorry i cant answer you question but I dealt with permissions when trying to delete a backup folder off my drive. I took ownership of the folder but still couldnt delete it because i didnt have ownership of the folders and files inside. Even after getting ownership of everything inside i couldnt delete it. It took a tech here at school about 20 minutes just to get all of the permissions to be able to delete a folder. taking absolute control of an entire drive might take an eternity, if possible at all. hopefully sp1 can fix permission issues because thats one of the few things i dont like about vista. time will tell.
