    I am hoping you guys could help me out with this...

    So i selected a .dll file because i wanted to see if i could see some of the info with notepad...i forgot to uncheck the "always open this type of file with this program" so now .dll's are associated with notepad. Stupid, i know... :confused:

    Anyways, i am sure this isn't affecting my computer from using .dll's as it normally would, but i wanted to know if someone had a solution to this...i Googled for a while and the only think i could up with was choosing a different default program for opening .dll's...if anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated :)

    hmm Assuming You're using Windows XP (I guess it will work in Vista too )

    Code:
    assoc.dll=dllfile
    Copy the line above and Then click Start, Run and enter CMD A Command Prompt window will open. Right click in this Window and select Paste. Then press Enter.

    Hint : This way you can restore any file association bro ;)

    Here is the List of Default File Associations
