If someone could just post a How to: Windows 7 on MacBook Pro retina.

I want to use bootcamp, Windows 7 Ultimate, but I was hoping someone could give me a free way to get the Windows 7 download and Product Key, if not the cheapest way to get one. Or even the cheapest way to get one of those CD's and product keys.

Then also I might need to get a SuperDrive if I need to buy the CD for Windows 7, so where can I get a really cheap SuperDrive that would work for putting Windows 7 on my Mac.

If anyone else has some input on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again!

    ROFL. No.

Be a good little boy or girl and buy your software properly.

If you have an 8 GB or larger USB thumb drive and a separate computer running Windows 7, you can use this free utility from Microsoft to convert the DVD into a USB installer that will work with the Mac's Boot Camp Assistant.

Speaking of Boot Camp Assistant, take some time and read through that section of the Apple support website. It has all the directions and information you need.

Hahaha I know thats what I tell people too when they try to get them free. Just thought I would ask. But where could I get the CD cheapest if I am just using it for my laptop? And I will buy the legit copy, don't worry, just thought I'd ask.

Indeed! I am! I have been looking for stuff like that too, but couldn't find anything. Is there a discount? And possibly do you have a link?

You should ask whoever is responsible for IT stuff in your uni. Or you could try digging on the uni website. Sometimes it's buried very deep.
