Hi People,
can some one please tell me how to turn off permanently the annoying animation inside Office? Like you open a word document, and you do 'ctrl+F' and you have the 'find' window 'popup'.. in fact its not popping up but instead its flowing in from the right hand corner... same when u close it.
I googled and found that we can turn off animation inside office word.. like this > Tools > Options > General tab > uncheck provide feedback with animation
But it is not permanent.. now its off but when I shut down and restart, its back again.
Does anyone know of how to permanently turn off this animation? Thanks a lot in advance.
Edit: just for further info, I also have unchecked (this was done long back when I got my system, so its always bee off) animate / fade options in system > advanced system settings > performance > settings > visual effects..

Which Office, 2003 or 2007..??
(You mean the Office Assistant feature..??) -
Its Office 2002 w/ SP3, MS Word.. Excel / PPT seem to be fine and there is no option I saw in the general tab for ' provide feedback with animation'..
And no, its not the office assistant feature.. I have turned that off long back.
I mentioned in my first post, its the find function when u press 'Ctrl + F'... You have a window for finding words... that window usually popsup.. but here its like animating itself, flowing in / fading in / flying in (whichever is the right way to say it ).. -
Weird, settings should not revert after a restart..
You sure you're clicking OK, after unchecking the option..
Try reinstalling or repairing Office, if possible.
Also, check out its Troubleshooter. -
Cheers.
