I've been using the free Syncback software on my XP machines, as XP's backup software seemed confusing, and created archives only accessible to itself, I guess.

Vista Home Premium's backup software sure LOOKS easier, at least from what little it shows when I launch it from the control panel.

Any thoughts on it? Should I try switching?

i use it in ultimate and it works good. It backs up any thing that has changed on my pc every Friday night. Not sure if it matters to you, but there was just a thread about this, when it backs your stuff up, it puts all the files in zip format, it doesn't mirror them over, so if you wanted to take the backup to a friends house you would have to navigate through the zip files. But if your planning on leaving it at home it works great. To restore just click restore select the file and select the destination place. You can also changed the frequency of the backups and the time. Theres another option for complete pc backup but I'm not sure if that's in home premium.

Yeah, I think that last thing is only in business or higher. Thanks! I'll play around with this I think.
