I was trying to move and resize the partitions on a friends laptop so I could install Ubuntu but in the process I deleted an important partition *hates guys in Dell forum for not telling him*. I'm not sure what I did wrong but all the info is here. I think it may have something to do with the MBR or something. Big thanks to anyone who can save me.

So, what happens when you boot?
I remember a partition that caused a screen with a blue bar at the top, I know it was the partition because after I deleted it it went away.
I didnt have many problems, Windows was fine.
We need to know what happens at boot, film it if you can(I'm seriously not joking). -
Have you finished the Ubuntu installation? Grub might fix it...

Its your fault for resizing partitions. Depending on the software you used, it may have screwed up your other partitions as well. Its no ones fault to blame. The only partition that you should have shrunk would be the partition that Windows is on so you can allocate 30GB for a new partition for Linux.
If you used the Disk Management tool in Windows XP, it should not have affected any of the other partitions since you are shrinking down one to make room for another.
You should have probably been more detailed on how exactly you were going to go about doing it and if you had some doubts, ask how you should go about creating a new partition for Linux instead of messing up any of the other ones instead of asking:
"I'm thinking they're all safe to delete besides the XP Partition, right? None of them are dell tools?"
It could have implied you were going to reformat the drive than reinstall, or you kept everything the same, etc. You should have been a tad bit more specific there. -

Sorry I took so long to respond. I've been seriously busy for the day, GRUB seems to fix the problem. I was having a problem installing Ubuntu because the CD was scratched or something so I just need to reinstall it and get the wireless working and stuff and I'm fine. I guess I panicked for nothing. I want to thank all of you for helping me while I was frantic and (probably) didn't provide good enough information. I really appreciate it.
Huge partition problem
