    Hey all,

I just wanted to ask you guys a few things. When I bought my M1437G Amilo I wanted to game with it and things like that. I am also a tweaker, so I love doing things with hardware etc.

Now I have searched the whole world for a program to configure my fan speed, I would like to use internal fan + cooling pad at max, it will be very nice I think. But Speedfan and all others did not work. So I am waiting for Notebook Hardware Control because they claim that the next version will have an ACPI fan controller!

Will that mean I can finally configure my fan or can I stop hoping this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Charlie-Peru :)

Well, the CPU speed is controlled already with Advanced Speedstep. That's built in to the CPU. Why you would want user control of the fan is beyond me since anything the user will do will defeat the already optimized CPU speed control, and, hence, the fan speed. The fan speed is not an independent variable that you would want to play with since to do so will contend with Speedstep and the design characteristics of the cooling system. IOW, you can seriously screw up the delicate balance between heat production and heat rejection, likely burning out the CPU in the process.
