Ummm... When ever i try and shut down, or restart, i get that blue screen OF DEATH! that says "Beginning dump of Physical Memory" so i have to hold to power button. So i can not install Supreme Commander because i have to restart my computer, but because of the Blue screen, and me having to manually shut off my computer, I have to re-instal, and get that problem again...

    Check your event logs.

Also what does the BSOD say?

I'm a bit confused. What is "fater internet"? Is it some sort of program you installed?

Also, since you use Vista, here's a link to the Vista event log on the MSDN site:

    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa382610.aspx

Here's a better resource for the Vista event viewer:

    http://www.petri.co.il/filtering-and-custom-views-in-vista-event-viewer.htm

You might also want to take a look at this forum thread, as it's directly related to Vista and how to prevent the computer from automatically rebooting during the BSOD, which will help troubleshoot the problem:

i think he meant "faster internet"...anyways,
that same problem happened to me on my desktop with vista home premium...i tired uninstalling video drivers and reinstalling them through safe mode because i thought it was a video driver problem....didnt fix it, so i reformatted and reinstalled windows, and that fixed it

Probably something with your cable/DSL/T1/whatever Internet hardware. Check the Internet provider's site and see if they have any solutions. Also make sure you have the latest patches and drivers for your Ethernet, router, modem, etc.

Have you even looked at your event logs, or tried the troubleshooting links I provided? Without any real error messages, there's nothing we can do but guess.

Your best bet is the system restore function unless you want do what another user did and reformat and reinstall Vista.

I got my first ever BSOD on Vista recently simply because I was trying to run a processor intensive program on Power Saver mode which I have customized to use only 25% of the processor power. I haven't seen it since, even when doing similar tasks so I have attributed it to that. Make sure you aren't on Power Saver mode.

Other than that maybe its a driver incompatibility with the game you are trying to install. Try updating the drivers for your graphics card and downloading the latest Vista updates which improves system performance when gaming.

There must be something in the event log--the act of putting up the blue screen "traps" the error and puts a notation in the log--and you could certainly provide the numbers next to the STOP message

Every blue screen has a line that says

    ***STOP: ????????????????????????????

Several people have asked you what those numbers are, but you seem to be working hard not to share them. If you want help, listen to what people are asking and provide thorough answers.
