When I have it turned off, it says "Unable to connect to the proxy server" on Opera and "proxy server connection failed' on Chrome.

When I turn it off, it only works for a few minutes and then it shows that message again.

Go to your browser's settings, look for something about proxy settings, and reset it to "Don't use a proxy" or the like.

Do a virus scan as well, i've seen this virus that forces users to go through a hacker's proxy to access the internet, giving the hacker an easy way to monitor and exploit the target.

I already did three virus scans. Avira, Avast, AVG. None of them caught anything. There is a fishy virus-looking thing that is called "StormAlerts" but none of the AV has been able to clear it out. At first AVG did catch this "StormAlerts" thing and it said it deleted it but it's still there when I look at the details in Task Manager.
