When I got the notebook (Toshiba A215-S4697) it worked, then at one point I formatted it and installed my own copy of vista (not from the recovery disc) and it still worked, then one day I noticed that it didn't show the battery time left, Yesterday I formatted again and from the get go it didn't show the battery time left. I installed all the drivers from the manufacturers site but nothing helped...
    Does anybody have any suggestions???
    TIA

You have to live with that. The toshiba battery is not designed to show the time. My sony vaio does the same.

either you need to go to the power options inside the control pannel and look for an associated option,, or you'll need a Toshiba tool that monitors the battery..

best i can come up w/ .... try posting in the Toshiba Group someone there may know a good easy solution
