The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i have tried everything i know ...

    I restored my laptop and a copy of my OS was moved to this folder .... now im having trouble getting the file deleted

    I tried making the ADMIN the owner and booted into safe mode it was a no go to

    doesn't work .... the whole program doesn't work and vista isn't listed as a supported OS

    Go into safe mode with your admin user, right click file in question, properties, security, Click "Edit", select your admin user you logged in as, choose "full control", "Ok" and "Ok" out of both windows.

    Now try to delete file or folder.

    they were my old OS files so the permissions were messed up

    So i had to override it hence that command
