I've moved everything over and want to delete the old Windows 7 partition. Do I just open the partition manager and delete the old D drive? or will something go wrong?

I have a bad feeling that if I delete it, something will go wrong.
Thanks.

All you need to do is delete the one your computer is not booted into, then if you want extend it into yours to create a continuous space.

You need to be careful. If windows 7 was installed and you installed a 2nd one on a different drive letter it is likely that the boot loader is still on the 1st drive. So if you delete it your computer will not start. But it is easy to use the 7 dvd to repair this.
If you have a boot menu when windows starts up you can delete it using msconfig in the Boot tap. Just remove the one you dont want. -

Use a partition editing tool that boots from CD or Flash Drive that can rearrange data to extend a partition once you delete the old one.
The Ultimate Boot CD is great - it does all that + more and its free.

gparted is on the disk and a well known partition manager.

Oh goodness, i'm confused. I'm a real noob at this. When I start my laptop, it gives me the option of:
1) Windows 7
2) Windows 7
The top one is the new one and the bottom one is the old one. I have a programme called Paragon Partition Manager if that does the same thing?
I just want to delete the drive D and use that space to extend my C partition. -
According to the disk configuration shown, there is only one OS partition at the end of the drive.
You cannot just delete D and extend C, since C is at the end of the drive. You should delete D, copy/ move C to the front, rebuild the MBR, and use any unallocated space to join with C. -
How can I do that?
Could you give me noob steps please?
Thx. -
I haven't done this myself, so I cannot tell the step-by-step instructions.
You can use the free software below. But the free editions are 32-bit only.
EASEUS FREE Partition Manager Software: Free Partition Magic alternative for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and Server 2000/2003/2008 Hard Drive partitions.
Free license software - free backup, partition freeware & data recovery
Open source free software Gparted : Download GParted from SourceForge.net
You should burn the iso above to a CD using the builtin Windows 7 iso burner or Imageburn. -
I did it, I used a programme called 'Partition Assistant 2.1 Home Edition' It's free.
I just deleted the C drive and it was unallocated memory. And opened 'Partition Assistant' and extended it. It restarted my laptop and it took about 2 hours to do.
When I restarted t gave me a windows boot error. I inserted my Windows 7 disc and repaired it. It came on then xD
Thanks guys
