That's your video card's drivers most probably. Did you have a drink with them?

Try restarting. Then if that doesn't work, try to reinstall your graphics drivers.

LOL... coincidence!!! My lab mate just had the *same* issue on his system... and we were guessing it was probably the video card drivers (though he installed it new, yesterday)... uninstalled it completely and reinstall the drivers, and it was gone. BUT, unlike you it did not happen once in a while.. it started happening around 7 or 8 hrs back and stayed that way even after many reboots n stuff... So try reinstalling the drivers... Hope this helps.

i agree with the driver reinstalls. Try calibrating your monitor as well, idk if it will help but it is something to try.

then if that doesn't work you could try yelling at it, punching it, threatening it with a large knife. that usually gets my pc running well again.

but if none of that works, then get rid of vista, it sucks. (idk if it will solve your monitor problem but it will get rid of vista which is a good thing.)

ok all seriousness now, is your computer near any magnets?

It could be the monitor. I once ran into a similar problem that was fixed when I turned up the refresh rate.

Yeah, is it a CRT? Most of them are starting to die by now... LCDs are the way to go.

It's either a video card driver, a bad connection in the display, or the display is about to go bad.
