I have a full MSDN subscription through my employer. I keep hearing that people on MSDN have the ability to download the latest Windows 7 build.

If this is true, where do I go on the site to get it? I can't find it!

I wish it were that simple. ;)

I am one of the the two IT guys where I work. The other guy I work with very seldom, if ever, goes there for anything. So I am the one who would "help".

Unfortunately, I have no idea where to go on there. Like I said though, I don't know if the ability to get the latest build is true or not. We have a MSDN subscription as well as TechNet Plus.

Under the download sections, all that is shown is build 7000.

I should imagine if 7000 is the only one showing, thats the only one you can get. I think the leaked versions were only available to a select few people for the purposes of testing different parts of the OS.

That's what I figured. I've seen a few people mention that other builds were available on there, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

RC1 is not available on Technet so I assume it is not on msdn either since they are usually there at the same time. The latest on technet is the first beta released in January.

7106 is a rebranded 7076 which is part of the "winmain" branch while 7077-7100 are part of the RC branch. Even though 7106 is the same as 7076, it has a higher build number so yeah...it's normal that it does not want to update...
