I decided to do a quick format because vista keeps telling me to and not let me access my phones mem card, so i chose to do a quick format, i then did a thorough after but i got impatient. I tried canceling the format but it wont so i ejected the micro sd out of me phone and now its a raw file system with 0MB space available, i have tried googling solutions but cant find any that works.

Are there any ways around this..its killing my head!

Thanks in advance for any replies :(

You probably need to format it again. A quick format should suffice. If it doesn't, try the thorough format. If that fails, it's a more serious problem...

    Doesnt format at all >___<

It says unknown capacity, and i try to format to fat16 with 64k cluster with quick format, but it says it is unable to format, various software has detected it has not ready and has 0k space and is a RAW file system, nothing i try can format or convert it again...now thats £50 gone of which i have spent 2 years ago on a 1gb micro sd..lol

    1) Try a full, thorough format.
    2) If that doesn't work, hopefully you've learned a lesson here.

Do not eject, disconnect or power off any kind of writable media while it is being written to
This is true for anything from harddrives to flash RAM.
And while this is always true, doing it while formatting is about the worst thing you can do.

I had a problem like this before on an SD card because I didn't let it finish formatting. I formatted it on my digital camera and breathe a sigh of relief that it came back to life. If you have an SD card adapter and a digital camera maybe you can resurrect it this way?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, i have learned my lesson as jalf has said above, i will try to use my phone and format the card.

It is recognised again to be a 1GB micro SD card but when i connect it to a SD adapter to my laptop, it requires a format and also still shows 0kb storage space.

try using a thirdparty program to format it. Also if your using vista, try formatting it on a XP machine
