Well, basically the title says it all. I have a bunch of jpegs that I would like to convert into a pdf file. Know any good programs? Free or paid. I don't really care although I would prefer free.

I know you have already found a solution, but an easy way to do this without downloading anything is to open up Microsoft Word (if installed), insert picture or pictures, re size if need be, and save as PDF. This may help for others.
    Cheers,

Faststone has been my image file viewer of choice for awhile. Irfanview is quite good too though.

Not exactly. This can only be done in Word 2013, otherwise you need to have a pdf printer installed on your device.

Same here, although it seems to have two slight disadvantages compared to the competition: gets rarely updated (the latest version was released after a whole year of total silence) and I couldn't make it open the .TIF files, which xNview did straight away.

Still, FSIW has by far the best interface around and pretty much all the tools one would need in the everyday picture editing.

#1 I would go with IrfanView I use it and it can do that easy.
#2 Adobe Acrobat can do a Convert to PDF with a right click option, can select multiple files and do this.
#3 DoPDF a free and really good PDF printer, print all the files to PDF and you can use any means to do that be it opening them all in an image editor or just selecting them in windows.

Can't go wrong with adobe acrobat or photoshop. Photoshop my go to program for anything image related.

Cheapest, fastest and most reliable solution for free, would probably be using google docs/drive though.

Here is a link to a tutorial
    https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2407404?hl=en

#1 upload your jpg to your google drive/docs
#2 right click the uploaded image
    #3 select open with/google docs
#4 on the top left corner select file/download as/PDF
#5 save it where you want it and you are done.
