I'm looking for more options for programs which download streaming videos (particularly from youtube). I've tried ZillaTube which was pretty good but the trial ran out very quickly. I also tried Freecorder which is free, but I was wondering if you guys had some different recommendations.

Been using Internet download manager for years now, works great on videos, and as a download manager in general.

    paid app though

Replay Media Catcher is probably the easiest to use but its usually hit or miss on whether the entire stream will be recorded. It works very well with YouTube though. I've used it to record my favorite sports teams from sites like lshunter.tv, ilemi.eu, firstrowsports.eu, chanfeed.com, etc. I usually have to record multiple streams because half the time the game will quit out in the middle of the game or the stream will be taken down due to copyright. It also cannot record encrypted RMTPE streams either so its hit or miss. But for free you can't complain.

hmm I think you'd need a different software for conversion, videos usually comes as flv or mp4, if you just want the audio you'd need a converter for it

    YouTube Downloader - Download.com
works very consistently - the free verion is what I use. Yes, once downloaded you can convert to many formats including mp3. You have to do 1 D/L at a time and 1 conversion at a time with free version., I would try this before buying any other. :D
Does anyone have experience with a free (non-trial) batch converter flv to mp3? I tried a few and the trials are very limited (only partial files are converted for instance)

I've had good luck with Orbit Downloader in the past.
