Hey,
I made a new partition using Norton PartitionMagic, so that I could install Ubuntu on it, but when I installed it, the partition was not in the list, so I installed Ubuntu along side Windows XP. That resized my drive to accommodate Ubuntu, The PartitonMagic says as follows:
DISK 1
LOCAL DISK (C: ) NTFS 119, 318.7
(*) EXTENDED 33, 306.6
LOCAL DISK (*: ) Linux Ext3 12,699.8 (this is what I allowed when I installed ubuntu)
LOCAL DISK (F: ) NTFS 20, 002.8 (This is the new partition)
SWAPSPACE2(*: ) Linux Swap 604.0
I want to move disk f to disk c, and no longer have f, so to do that, I just delete f, and the unused space will go straight to c, or do I have to move the unallocated space to c?
Thanks.

Why? You cannot just willy nilly move partition around and expect your system to work.

Don't worry, I figured it out...

Care to tell us how you figured it out? And the outcome?

Sure, I took the easy way out XD, I reformatted the drive, and just installed XP and Ubuntu along side. When I deleted the partition in PartitionMagic, it gave me unallocated space, that is pretty much unusable except for making a new partition. Once I got into the XP install, I deleted all partitions, and it just moved into one, then I installed on that.

Why not? I do all the time. That's what you pay money to third party apps for. Just follow their rules and everything works fine.

This is what I thought! You pay for the software to do it's job; what you want, when you want. Why can't I play around with it? What harm can it do! Anyways, no problems, now, just formatted the drive, and going to install Ubuntu along side XP.
I need help:)
