    I bought my laptop in 1-1-2010 and I didn't do a clean install, the first day I uninstalled some of the unused programs and bloatware then even before I install my programs I got 31 GB in use in the C: drive, normally a clean install will result in 20GB max. why extra 10-12 GB usage ??? did I miss any files to be deleted ??? also I found out these 2 files "hyberfil.sys" 3.1GB and "pagefile.sys" 4.1GB. If anyone know what are these files for, tell me please,
    thanks in advance.

    "hyberfil.sys" =for hibernation purposes

    "pagefile.sys" = swap file for the hard drive, kind of "virtual ram"

    Well there is 7 plus gig's in the hybernate file and memory page file. Also if recovery is setup that uses space as well.

    Also, don't bother trying to get rid of 'pagefile.sys.'

    In regards to 'hyberfil.sys,' if you don't ever use Hibernate, you can disable that.
