    Hi all,

I bought a new notebook with Win 10 home already in.

I need to delete it and install Win 10 Pro and Win 7 Pro.

This is my questions for you all:

    1) I need to change into the BIOS from SECURE BOOT to UEFI?

    2) I need to change the PARTITION TABLE of each HDD from GPT to MBR and why if it so?

    Thank you

Secure Boot is an added security feature of UEFI. You cannot switch from Secure Boot to UEFI, you can only disable Secure Boot if you know what you are doing which most enthusiasts do anyway.

Don't mess around switching from GPT to MBR. Why would you wanna do that anyway? GPT is the new standard and is the best for UEFI systems. It takes 0.5 seconds less to initialize a GPT partition during the boot process vs an MBR one. Aside from the fact that GPT partitions also support 2TB++ partitions which is the limit of an MBR partition.

I read everywhere that peolple who install a fresh install of Win 10 or Win 7 from an ISO they use to convert GPT to MBR, or maybe I read wrong.

    So, I need only to:

    1) DISABLE SECURE BOOT
    2) DELETE ANY PARTITION, MAKE MY PARTITIONS BUT LEAVE THE GPT
    3) INSTALL MY OS IN THE PARTITIONS I MADE

    Is that correct?

If your laptop has no W7 drivers going to W7 will not work. GPT is recommended for 2tb or bigger anything smaller is MBR. If your system doesn't option to disable secure boot your stuck with Windows 10. This is something you need to first confirm by looking at you UEFI bios to see if you have such option.
