well, to make sure you don't have key loggers, try using advanced system optimizer's spyware detective. It's pretty good, detects adware, spyware, and keyloggers.

    there's a 30 day full version trail

And have you opened it yet? What do you see. And until then I would not asume it has anything to do with "keylogging" also at the end of the file name type in "old" and save restart. See if any app prompts saying it is missing, next see if it has been recreated, if it is not then either not a keylogger or at least not one that works automatically (kind of useless). Restarting also helps to confirm it will or will not be created on shut down or start up. In computer Technology "log" is common and fundemental not just "keylogging". If it does nothing rename file to original. And people that is how you play with a computer when you don't have a clue (me)! ;)

Here is Google link I have no idea what it is but looks like more to do with your screen than key's if you know what I mean? Also can you give the path to this file? And what are doing on grandpa's computer Thomas? Do not mess it up. Oh and rename it to see if recreated, randomly going thru files can drive you INSANE!

Edit: If Grandpa starts yelling at you "what the H*** were you doing on my computer!?" Then yea I say he has a key logger.

Now you need to restart, is it recreated? does any app ask for it?

What is the path to this file, where did you find it?

That's what I meant to say. If it is a virus, or a keylogger, it would've been all over the net.
