Hey
My C drive has got so much free GB's on it and my media drive is a bit lacking,
How do I move some of this space?
I have tried on my desktop, but now it just says 19gb unasigned space and I cant figure out how to move it to my media drive.
I want to do it on my dell xps lappy as well, but I test on desktop first and then will do on my lappy.
Thanks so much guys

Acronis Disk Director can do it.

Nevermind, misunderstood question.

Most people like the Windows built-in 'Disk Management' utility, but then others have had a lot of trouble with it...
I use Gparted for all my partitioning needs
.
Here's a link to the Live CD (it operates outside Windows): http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
This is assuming you are talking about 2 partitions and not 2 physical hard drives. Moving space between two physical hard drives would not be possible. -
Yes sorry one hard drive to a seperate virtual drive set just for my media.
Partition
Thanks guys will try that.
Tried that gpart but did not work, it had no executable file to run as a program, looked at the other one the mod said and it costs like 50.00. I just want to move 20gb from my HDD to my media drive which is virtual. -
Ok
Got 20gb in what is called free space which I took of my C drive.
But I cant firgure out how to move it to my D/media Drive?
Or even put it back on my c drive, its just stuck there.
Any help?
Im using Vista disc managment. -

Like Gregory stated, use Gparted Live, it works great and it is rather easy to use. -
My approach would be to create another virtual drive with the size that you need. Then use some backup/restore utility like Ghost to back up the current small virtual drive, and restore it to the new larger virtual drive. Verify that everything is ok, then delete the old small virtual drive

Gparted operates outside windows. The LiveCD is bootable. You'll actually be working inside a linux environment instead of Windows. The instruction page on the site I linked to tells you how to make the cd I believe. Basically you just download the .ISO file and use cd burning software to 'burn an image to cd'.
I want move space from one drive to another?
