I was going to rip all dvds into media files but i was thinking of doing isos. I know that would take up 3 times more space. If i use a good format and high quality it would be like 2-3gig per movie but using isos it'll be like 6-8 gigs. Although if i do isos it will keep the original movie intact and than later i can easily rip the DVD isos into a media format. Which is ideal in my eyes becuase i don't loose anything. It will also allow me to burn the iso into a dvd again with no worries. Do you guys got any recommend programs? I have daemon tools lite but it has been having problems. I make an iso and i mount it and i can not watch the DVD. Its mounted but it only lets me open the dvd to the file structure. It shows no play options and no media players show the virtual drive. Any ideas?
I already plan on buying a 2TB drive for 130 so i can hold about 250 DVDs in iso format. I also saw MDS and MDX format in daemon tools....I looked in wikipedia and it appears i don't want to mess with them. Or am i wrong?
Any help will be much appreciated thx.
