This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Just just installed I8kfanGUI to test my fans out and see my temps whatever. Now ive uninstalled it do the settings go back to as they were? Before i installed it? Or do the stay at the last settings i had I8kfanGUI at?

    They go back. You have to have it installed. How else would your laptop "remember" the fan settings?

    I8kfanGUI doesn't save anything to your computer, it simply overrides the BIOS settings so once it's removed so are your custom settings.
