    Hi All
I'm having problems getting the controller drivers for my laptop to downgrade it to XP pro. It runs the ICH7M Intel sata controller. Anyone know where I can get these drivers from?

I've tried Toshiba but their response was.. "We dont support XP on this laptop".

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

Cipher - The only way I have been able to work around either ICH7M or ICH8M is to slipstream the drivers onto an XP install CD. There are several good tuturials on this over on the HP & Compaq page. I know the slipstreaming works because I reloaded XP Pro on my daughter's roomates Toshiba (w/ SATA drive) two weeks ago when I was in the States. No problems at all and I actually used the ICH8M drivers for that one.

Download a copy of CPU-Z, and post a screen shot of the 'mainboard' tab. I can help you if you give me that, at least I think I can help you. :p

You'll need a USB floppy drive though...
