recently I tried to view the information for my mp3 files. I noticed that all of this information disappeared! In windows explorer they are no longer viewable. However, when I play them with wmp, the information shows up. This proves that the tag info is still there, just that I cant view it in windows explorer. Anyone know whats wrong?

Well, there's 3 different versions of tags: ID3v1, ID3v2, and APE.
I'm not sure which version windows explorer reads, but your files must have one version, readable by wmp, but not the version that explorer reads.

You could use a program like The Godfather or TagScanner to copy the tags from one version to the others.
