    IE 7 on Vista Ultimate

    I have a problem. My IE7 on my x61 running Vista Ultimate has stopped working. It refuses to open any webpage, I keep getting a unable to display webpage error. I've tweaked the settings but no avail? Can anyone tell me how i can rectifu this problem? Failing which how i can uninstall IE7? :(

    i've downloaded ie7 and tried to install it over my exsisting version but strangely it get the message this version is not comatible with your operating system?

    ah well no joy either, i always get the message tha ie7 is not supported on this computer...arghhh

    k, let us (me) get back to basic - what is ur system configuration (32bits, 64 bits etc ...)?

    how is ur net connections being set up? router? ...

    If you installed Vista x64 you get two versions of IE7. A x32 (x86) and x64 bit. There's also an IE7 for XP. Usually when you download IE7 MS will detect your OS version and download appropriately. Have you tried to unistall the previous version?

    well my vista ultimate is 32bit and the ie7 on it worked fine but it suddenly quit working no matter if i used my home wireless network or my office wired broadband or the wireless at starbucks.....arghh and i can't seem to uninstall ie7 at all... using firefox now but most of my internet banking stuff cannot work with firefox only with ie7

    Downloading the Add-on "IE Tab" for Firefox will allow you to switch the rendering engine for any tabs of your choice. Using this you could get those internet banking pages working in firefox whenever you need them.
