    When will IE8 be released officially?

    IE8's final release is a very long, long way away. A more public second beta is due out "soonish" in Q3 of this year. I think Q2 or so 2009 is what we're looking at for a final release - so about a year or so.

    In the mean time, we do finally have an IE beta that passes Acid 2 - sometimes, if the stars align just right and you sacrifice the proper number of farm animals. That is, when it isn't crashing or otherwise grinding to a halt, which it does about every 30 seconds or so under normal use. And oh yeah - it's still the slowest and least secure browser by far out of all of them, as it will continue to be so long as it relies on that god-awful POS that is ActiveX.

    So no, I will not repeat after you. But I did answer your question, so I deserve a little credit. :p
