What do you set it too?
I chose the "Everytime I visit the webpage setting" for checking for newer files otherwise forum pages will not always be refreshed, very annoying![]()
-
. I left it to default, never touching it.
. I thought you are now a Firefox user (???)
cheers ... -
Same here.
-
don't u experience problems with forum threads not being refreshed properly?
-
Not as I am aware or noticed of.
cheers ... -
Same as qhn, never had any problem.
On a side note, it could be your ISP's own cache. -
hmm, very good point, never thought of that
-
I have the settings at default, whatever they are. The few times I use IE I don't notice any issues with this.
-
So I guess I'm the only one who experiences problems in forums and have to manually refresh sometimes to view the updated threads. I guess it's due to my ISP (ETISALAT) in Dubai
-
What about other websites (not forums)?
-
I wouldn't be able to tell really as I wouldn't know unless I refreshed each page I visited. But it was very noticable on forums. Thus, I keep it set to refresh every single visit to a webpage.
-
By the way, have you tried using another browser, such as FF, to see if the problem persists?
-
I tried very hard to get used to FF but could never do it. I've been using IE since I was 14 and love its interface.
-
I understand, not trying to tell you to switch browser, but you should still try another browser just to test it to see if the same problem persists.

WOW! Awesome dude! Trying it now -
J00 h4v3 successfulleh c0Nv3rTed me to a FF user
Now I have to test whether I have to keep my temp file settings as always update or automatic to know if IE was the problem or my ISP
EDIT: I couldn't find that specific setting for the browser history like in IE? -
So without changing any settings in FF, are you getting the same problem as before?
-
nope, not that I've noticed so far, still testing though

With the addon that I posted for firefox, I find it significantly slower than Internet Explorer 8. LOL..
Firefox can only compete in speed and system resource ussage with IE8 without those addons and mods. -
Ok, I'll uninstall the addons then
