Im running Vista HP x64 and using IE7 32 bit. Im having trouble in IE7 when typing an address in the address bar or clicking on a link. It either:

    a) tries to load for a while then says Internet Explorer can not display the webpage

    b) loads for a while then displays random parts of the page

    c) gives me a google search result page with the address I was trying to reach as the search string

To get to my desired page I have to refresh or click the link several times.

Does anyone have any suggestions? My desktop running XP Pro w/IE7 on the same network works perfectly.

Actually I have exactly the same issue, although I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

Knew that was coming  I use Firefox at work, and I don't really see any compelling reason to use it over IE7. I may, however, install it to see if my problems are browser specific or a networking issue.

Are your XP and IE7 patched with all the latest updates?

And do you get this since the beginning or just recently?

Desktop running XP and IE7 is up to date as far as I know, SP3 and auto update turned on.

I can't really say if its been happening to my laptop with Vista since the beginning because once I got it I immediately reformated to put on Vista x64, and then installed a bunch of software at once. Probably not the smartest plan of action in retrospect since I can't tell if a certain software is causing it or not.

Although I can say that turning off the add-ons from Skype did help it out slightly. I think Ill try uninstalling that and see what happens.

Not to ramble, but now that I think about it I was having trouble networking my laptop with my desktop via wireless...Im thinking it has to be some kind of network setting issue.
