A week ago i started a thread asking people their comments about the new IE7. Since, i got different opinion i started using it to evaluate it myself. so, i put aside my firefox and began using IE.
The new IE is really better than the old one since it has added features (i love it's tab browsing)... however, i'm having problem with it when i'm using my dial up connection. The problem is it cannot detect my dial up connection the first time I open my IE browser (firefox can detect it as well as the former IE). since it cannot detect, IE will promt me with two option: 1. work offline; 2. try again. if i click try again then it can detect my dial up. but i don't want to be prompted with this message everytime i used my dial up.
I don't know what to do.. i love IE.. pls help!

Hi qohelet,
Try setting it to prompt you to connect if there is no connection. That way you will be always connected when you are in IE. If not it will ask you to connect and you just click connect. Easy.

Beta 2 is less stable than Beta 1 if you can believe that. I had to abandon it for other critical flaws. I'd really just wait for another beta or release candidate.

Ikovac,
I tried doing your suggestion but but it didn't work. Also, I cannot send error messages to microsoft because it notifies me that i don't have connection even if my dial up is connected. I cannot also connect to HP help and support (not using IE browser) coz it notifies me too that i don't have connection. I think IE7 beta2 actually mess up my dial up connection. So i guess for the mean time, until microsoft release the fix version of IE7 beta 2, i will be using firefox.
I'm sure the problem is not hardware related (not my modem). I check my modem through the HP online hardware diagnostic (using wireless connection of course) and it points out that it has no problem.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
Brian,
i'm shifting to firefox for the meantime. -
Sorry to hear it. Mine works flawlessly. In XP and Vista beta2! So far so good.

I'm looking forward to the new IE7beta2.
