can u share a bit more info as what u meant by "IE7 freezing"? what other processes were running? ur environment as far as firewall and av scanner? what sites causing the most issues? where was IE when it freezed?

when was the last time u cleared the cache and temp files of IE? u have all IE7 relevant updates?

    cheers ...

I honestly never have a problem with IE, But I also don't use any add-ons with the exception of Flash Player. If it'll run fine without add-ons, as you mention, then uninstall the add-ons.

I don't think IE7 has the repair option but it will ask you if you go to remove it on add/remove. If it doesn't have the repair option, you may want to uninstall and reinstall via Windows update

Maybe you should uninstall ALL the add-ons and even IE7 itself. Then, install everything again one by one until you discover the source of the problem. I know this takes a long time but it will pay off eventually.

Or maybe you can just get Firefox. :)

FireFox is a good alternative to IE.

Anyways disable any add-ons if you have any and disable all media plugins.

Run Windows Update, make sure you also have enough memory while running IE and that you are not playing a 3D game while using IE.
