This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I got a virus on my system because I was stupid enough to do some stuff without noticing it was off. It changed my homepage from what I had it. Is there some reason Vista isnt letting me change it back? I already ran symantec and removed the offending files.

    verify ur services and start.up processes - it might still be sneaking somewhere and re.surface with each re.boot

    Ive ran virus software afew times now its not there anymore.

    Got it fixed now. Adaware took care of it.
