This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     IE7 crashes.. Help.

    My Explorer crashes everytime I try to close out. But it only crashes after viewing a page with some kind of video in it (usually from the small window pop-ups such as Yahoo news/sports etc).

    Is anyone familiar with this issue and know how to fix it?

    Download a better browser :D. May i suggest Opera or Mozilla?

    "crashes" is not very descriptive and does not really describe any issue of which I am aware. What OS are you running? Do you have current patches installed? Does Firefox V3 also "crash" on the same websites?

    It does not respond after attempting to close out explorer. Then explorer restarts.

    I have tried it with FireFox V3 and it closes out fine.

    FWIW, IE7 is blocked from having internet access on my PC by my firewall.
