After I tried Windows 7 I formatted my computer and went back to Vista Business. Since then Internet Explorer 7 has started to suddenly freeze. The main pattern is that it freezes when its loading a page but sometimes it freezes even if the load is done and I'm just reading a page. Then I have to kill the Internet Explorer in the Task Manager. It doesn't make any difference whether its a simple HTML page or an advanced page with flash, java and various scripts.

I installed the exact same drivers as I had before I installed Vista 7. When the problem started I updated all drivers possible which didn't help any. I've also run Windows Update several times and of course installed Service Pack 1.

Does anyone have any idea what I can try to do, to fix this problem ?

    Regards,
    Jakob Laursen

You should just use Firefox. Its a better overall browser, and compatible with 7. ;)

I know, but I still would like IE7 to work probably. Also, I do need IE7 for certain things such as home banking and similar types of things.

I've tried to download IE7 but when I get to the download site it just says that I already have IE7 because of Vista. And then it won't let me download it...

Try updating to IE8.. If all else fail, and you're that OCD about it working, do a clean install of Vista.

It sounds like you installed the newest flash 10 which is not only bad, the problem is huge, just google flash 10 problems, you must have had flash 9 on your previous windows, flash 9 is good for most, so when you did the clean install you probably installed the newest flash 10 at one point, go to adobes site get flash uninstaller and get flash 9 from their site and wait for adobe to get their act straight instead of them playing the blame game.

I have been experiencing this for the past few days its been making me so angry. I had no clue what was causing it i thought it was the video drivers i have been using. Im using internet explorer 8 beta. I think it has frozen / crashed on me at least 6 times in 2 days.

I would recommend updating the Java Runtime and the Flash engine, if not having done so.

    cheers ...
