Guess who wins?
If u think Firefox wins u are wrong.
Firefox takes more memory than anything.
In this test:
1. i opened One tab only in each browser.
2. both browsers had same webpage i.e. www.Google.com
3. the cache & cookies etc. for both was cleared before the test.

IE likes to 'hide' some of its memory usage in some of the other processes from what I understand.
And in any event, lower memory does not necessarily mean better. It could mean more efficient, but it might instead mean slower or more prone to stack overflow/errors. Or that not as much is implemented (aka fewer active features). -
Both are the last versions of year 2007.
Lets see how IE8 & FF 3 come out.
@ Greg
U maybe rite Greg but Firefox takes too long to open and thats because it Allocates too much memory. Although once it opens its much stable than IE7. -
If you want a real test, use both browsers fully updated (Firefox 2.0.0.12), and take off the Firefox theme and extensions.
IE7 v/s FF (2.0.0.11) = Memory contest
