    Hi guys
After a LONG time...i've fianlly decided to upgrade to IE8 from IE7 but now after i've upgraded.... alot of images for websites cannot be loaded and video streams that use WMP do not work either. Any ideas oh whats up? I've googled it a bit and tried a few tweaks but no improvement.
The websites that i've tried are msn.co.uk etc... so it's not gonna be the website's problem.

    Thanks

This sounds like something is messed up.

You could try unistalling and reinstalling IE8.

If Add-Ons give you trouble - try fully unistalling them and then reinstalling them.
By the way - it isn't a "tweaked" (aka crippled) system?

Yes, I agree, it sounds like you didn't get a "good" installation of IE8. You might also try your Compatibility View link at the top of your screen (next to the Refresh button). If that helps, you can go into Tools and set your Compatibility View settings so all affected pages are fixed.

Thanks for all your help, and I've redownloaded the installer from MS and reinstalled IE8, and although most websites load up ok now.... youtube thumbnails at the front page is still not showing up. Anymore ideas.

    Thanks! :)

I haven't had any problems with anything from youtube. Have you tried having IE8 run in "compatibility" mode when you open a youtube page?

Youtube - sounds like flash mesing up.

Try unistalling Flash with a dedicated falsh unistaller (use google ot find it) then reinstal it, see if that helps.
