I just installed IE9 and it appears that fonts in most sites are blurry. The only way to work around this is using Compatibility View, which works for most sites, but don't work at gmail. I use gmail a lot to send receive email and this blurry font really drives me crazy. Any solution on this?

The problem is "Clear Type" which is enabled by default with IE9. No way to disable it either...

So, either uninstall IE9 and revert back to IE8, or pick up a different Browser (chrome, Firefox, safari, etc)

Are you saying that you cannot use Compatibility Mode with gmail? It can be manually added via Tools > Compatibility View Settings

I used to use CM w/ gmail, but stopped having gmail problems and now use normal view. I just put it in CM again and it the page doesn't render correctly, so that's gonna be an issue for you too. :(

Are you running your computer at 100% DPI as well as at its native resolution? If not this may explain the issue on sites other than Gmail.

it can also be a problem with hardware acceleration on ie9
