When my Windows 7 PC isn't shut down properly upon reboot I'll be logged out of a few sites (Yahoo and Facebook are the two big ones) in IE and have to log in again, even though they're set to remember my password and keep me logged in. Is this normal behavior? It doesn't happen with Chrome.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I worded that poorly - it still has my passwords saved (unless they're new passwords I just added during that browser session).

do you have drive write caching turned on and if so, what are the settings for write cache flushing.....

I suppose it's a relief it isn't just me. It always happened with IE8 as well. I don't remember if it happened with older browsers.

yeah nemt it happens here too with ie8/9 but not with the older versions
i now keep a backup of my cookies to reload when it happens -
Anyway, it's easy enough to me to log into these sites again - it's just really confusing how and why it happens. Do newer versions of IE handle cookies differently?
IE9 forgets some saved logins when my PC loses power or crashes
