So I upgraded to IE9 as I wanted to try that browser vs Chrome/Firefox, my son plays some games that requre Adobe Flash. Such as this one ...
Cars: Lightning McQueen's Desert Dash Online Game
However, it now does not load with IE9. I just get a blank window where the game should be. I've downloaded the latest Flash Player from Adobe, but when I right click on the blank screen it just says "Move not loaded".
Any idea what is going on? Is there a security setting somewhere that isn't allowing this to run?
Thanks!

Note - the link works fine if I load it using Chrome. Just IE9 doesn't seem to like it.
I'm also getting "delays" when trying to download files using IE9. I.e., I'll click on download and never get the popup, and or if I do if I'm trying to download say a .exe file it changes it to a _exe so I have to rename it which is annoying?
Must be some sort of default security thing I'm thinking. I have security on "Medium-High" which is the default. -
I'm using the 32bit version of ie9 and was able to load the page and play the race game with no problems.
Also, I don't seem to have any problems downloading files, like you've mentioned. -
works fine here too..................
-
lineS of flight Notebook Virtuoso
works fine for me too!
-
Works fine here as well with IE 9 RTW...fun little game
I would download the Flash Uninstaller and reinstall Flash 10.2. You can get both from the Download section at Adobe's website...

works fine, and downloads fine here in ie9 32 bit.

Must be one of those "free" toolbars.
Note: My IE 9 has NO toolbars or addons. -
Will try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash. I'ved "downgraded" back to IE8.0 and the flash games aren't working there either, so is likely a setting of some sort in Internet Explorer that was inadvertently switched as it works fine in Chrome.
Using IE8.0 I definitely remember why I switched to Chrome and Firefox, god this browser is horrible. -
Okay, so uninstalled Flash. Then reset IE8.0 to its default settings. Still no luck. It won't even give me the "ActiveX Controls" popup when I try to download Flash. Here is the screen it goes to where usually you get the popup bar asking "Activate ActiveX Controls" and usually the download would begin at that point .... but I do not get that bar and the download simply won't start??

I'm at an utter loss here. Have reinstalled IE9, still can't download the Flash player. Have uninstalled and reverted back to IE8. Same issue. Have set the security level to medium, nothing. Went in to the custom levels and set all Active X stuff to "prompt", still don't get the pop up to activate ActiveX controls and it doesn't appear to be installed (used this page to check ... PC Pitstop - Test Your ActiveX ) and it says "ActiveX is not supported").
Have double checked to ensure I'm running the 32 bit version of IE8 and not the 64 bit.
I can't even reinstall IE9 right now as when I click download I get an error that the file is not available or can not be found.
What the heck am I missing!?? I've also run a virus scan using MSE ..Attached Files:

BTW, am now trying to download the latest Java ap (I should have noted that this is a recent clean install of Windows 7) from here ..
Download Java for Windows
Get the same error that the file is not available or can not be found??? -
Okay, so I had to reinstall Chrome, and use that browser to download IE9 and Java.
Even then I was still getting the weird issue where if I tried to download .exe files in IE9 it would change the extension to "_exe" and I'd have to save as and change the file name.
Managed to finally download Adobe flash player in the above manner, and now it's finally working.
How friggin on is that!? -
I've seen where Chrome is installed then uninstalled can cause issues like you are describing, they way I fixed it was to install Firefox make it the default browser then open IE and make it the default and everything worked again...

Are you using any Ad blocker or HTTP filter? Don't install The Java runtime unless you have a program that is specifically asking for it and you really need to use that program, think of it as the last choice. Windows has enough Java support for most applications. You changed something in browser's settings, try to go back to default.

No Ad Blockers or HTTP filters.
I did go back to default settings.
Interestingly, while on my login the flash player works fine, when I log in as my wife, the same issue happens and doing the same thing I did to get mine to work doesn't work with her user name.
Will try uninstalling Chrome and installing Firefox and then making IE the default browser.
Just plain weird -
I can't get omegle (text or video) to work with IE9.
It's one of my favorite sites, despite the abundance of weird perverts. ]: -
Wow, so have tried everything in my wife's login at this point and simply can't get Adobe FP to work with her IE9. Works fine if I log out and use my own login (after going through all the cr*p above).
I've even installed Firefox, went to the website and it clearly noted that the ADOBE plug in was needed, installed it, and worked fine.
Exitted, went back to IE9, reset it as the default browswer, reset all settings to default, reduced security settings to Medium from Medium High, tried to reinstall Adobe FP but it noted that it was already installed. Went to the lightning mcqueen website .... and ... nothing. Just get a blank white window where the game should be!
I guess I could just have them use Chrome or FF, but my wife is very used to IE.
Aaaarrrggh! -
I imagine people used to IE would have as much trouble with IE9 as they would with FF or Chrome.
It's the biggest incremental departure in IE's entire history, except perhaps 6 to 7. -
Yeah, but it's just driving me nuts that I can't get ActiveX to work properly. The weird thing is that when I go to this site .. PC Pitstop - Test Your ActiveX
It tells me "ActiveX not Supported", vs not enabled or not installed.
IE9 issue with Adobe Flash Player??
