    Icons in Vista on Quick Launch and Recent Items Not Responding

    Just got a new laptop and vista and have found that some items will not work in either the quick launch or recent items including itunes and office for sure. I'll just click on them and nothing happens.

    Also, in my explorer, the favorites section doesn't respond right. Ill click open favorites folder and get no response. Nothing happens. Whats up guys.

    I've never seen the behavior you describe.

    But if it happened to me, I'd probably try recreating my user profile.

    Go to Control Panel > User Accounts... rename your account something else and then create a new account.

    Otherwise... you can always reinstall. ;)
