I want that the laptop keeps running when I close the laptop by folding the screen in closing position.

    How to achieve this ?

If you are using Vista, right-click on the battery icon in the taskbar and select power options, OR go to the Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, then choose Power Options. On the lefthand side of the window, click on "Choose what closing the lid does."

Make sure you know that closing the lid while the laptop is on will contribute to higher than normal operating temperatures, your system should still be fine though.

Nope. The screen will turn off when you close the lid due to a
    latch mechanism.

    cheers ...
